At Roots Dental , we’re passionate about bringing together the latest advancement in technology with the creativity of patient-focused, excellent dental care. Our doctors have spent years honing their expertise in a variety of techniques and treatments so that they can provide the highest quality of care and consistency. When you visit us, you’ll feel like you’re part of the family! Dr. Frei is an Idaho native and grew up in the Treasure Valley. His pursuit of a career in dentistry was born from an unfortunate boating accident resulting in the loss of his friend's front tooth. He witnessed his childhood dentist (and future mentor) repair not only his friend's smile, but also his confidence. Dr. Frei attended Brigham Young University and went on to complete dental school at the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health. While in dental school, he was able to provide care to the underserved communities in and around St. Louis. Upon graduation, he began his Army dental career
