Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Henderson’s path to dentistry was anything but traditional. Although encouraged by his childhood dentist to pursue the profession, he initially followed a different rhythm — literally — working as a professional ballroom dance instructor after earning a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Michigan. A student in one of his dance classes, an orthodontist, reignited the spark by urging him to consider a career in dentistry.
