Remedy Spa is a medical spa and wellness clinic in Carmel, California, founded in 2021 by Melissa Duran, RN, a nurse since 1998 with 16 years in plastics and aesthetics and a trainer for the Allergan Medical Institute. Co-founder Jay Pennock, MD, a board-certified emergency medicine physician, runs the practice's functional medicine arm, which he established as Navigator Medical Consultancy in Santa Cruz in 2015 and now offers through Remedy Spa. The med spa menu covers Botox, Juvederm and SkinVive dermal fillers, Kybella, HydraFacial, VI chemical peels, laser and red light treatments, IV vitamin infusions and NAD+ infusion therapy. The practice also runs a weight management programme using GLP-1 medications and B12 injections, and serves patients in Carmel and Salinas.
