About Rachel Oates Family Dental

Dr. Oates decided to become a dentist in the second grade and never looked back. She obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Georgia and graduated with her DDS (doctorate of dental surgery) from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Oates worked for a year at a pediatric clinic in Chicago and for several years in private practice in both Franklin and Columbia, TN. Her varied background allows Dr. Oates the ability to give you the most effective treatment possible. Dr. Oates volunteers her time in the community to help those who are less fortunate. She participates regularly in Interfaith Dental Clinic and also donates her time with Loaves and Fishes, an outreach program that feeds the homeless. Dr. Oates is married to a Navy veteran, and they have two beautiful girls, Olivia and Annie and her beautiful boy Teddy. In her spare time, Dr. Oates loves to bake, spend time at the family beach house in Oak Island, NC, and hike with her family. They are av
