Is among the few eye surgeons in the world who hold advanced fellowship training in multiple disciplines, including cornea surgery, refractive surgery, anterior segment surgery and glaucoma. His diverse educational background and outstanding surgical and clinical skills allow him to create customized vision solutions for each patient. Dr. Preschel is also fluent and culturally competent in Spanish and English, which allows him to serve the needs of both national and international patients. Dr. Preschel completed his medical degree at the Central University of Venezuela and was awarded an educational grant from Venezuela’s Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Foundation, which allowed him to attend a post-graduate training program in the United States. He served his internal medicine internship at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and was awarded a research fellowship in ophthalmic pathology.
