Born in Indianapolis, IN, Sonya moved to Kentucky at age 16. She earned her ADN from Jefferson Community College and went on to complete her BSN at Western Governors University. With 20 years of experience in the operating room, Sonya has worked across all surgical specialties, including trauma care for both pediatric and adult patients. Her diverse nursing background also includes experience in home health, hospice, and psychiatric care. Sonya's personal journey with weight loss and its impact on her appearance, combined with her extensive procedural nursing expertise, inspired her to pursue certification as an aesthetics nurse and open Posh. In 2008, Sonya married her true other half, Todd, after meeting in the operating room. Together, they have a beautifully blended family: Sonya brought Ryan and Kayla and Todd brought Logan and Trinity. They later welcomed their youngest, Kyle, completing their family.
