About Pittsburgh Center for Functional Medicine

Pittsburgh Center for Functional Medicine is a functional medicine practice on Pittsburgh's Southside, focused on identifying and treating the root causes of chronic disease. The practice originated as Squirrel Hill Family Wellness Center, founded in 1989 by Dr. Franne Berez; David Lobur, MD, joined in 2016, purchased the practice in 2018, and relocated and renamed it in December 2019. Dr. Lobur, a board-certified internist and Institute for Functional Medicine certified practitioner, works alongside family nurse practitioner Lucia Buckley, CRNP. Adjunct offerings include an infrared Himalayan salt sauna and detoxification programs.
