Talavera—known affectionately as “Dr. T” by his patients—was born and raised in Lima, Peru. He moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue higher education, earning his Biology degree from Boston University and his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tufts University . While in dental school, Dr. Talavera served as President of the Hispanic Dental Association’s student chapter and was actively involved in serving the local Hispanic community.
