In order to practice as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school is required. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons , Brett T. Laggan, DDS and Jelena Karovic, DMD, PhD, treat a variety of problems of the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. They have expertise in dental implant procedures, wisdom tooth removal, corrective jaw surgery, and rebuilding bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Dr. Laggan also diagnoses and treats facial pain, facial injuries and fractures, and oral pathology, including oral cancer. In our advanced, state of the art office setting, patients receive intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia while technically trained certified staff continuously monitor them during and after their procedures. Working alongside Drs. Laggan & Karovic are certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants having undergone specialty
