Dr. Jenkins earned an osteopathic medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (now known as Des Moines University) in Des Moines. After completing a rotating internship, a family medicine residency, and a gynecologic/obstetric fellowship and then working for a year in Ohio, Dr. Jenkins returned to Iowa, first working in Iowa Falls and then moving to Mason City. Dr. Katherine Broman and Dr. Jenkins established NILSS in 2007 and Dr. Jenkins became the sole owner in 2016.
