Newbury Dental was established first in 1961 as Lambing Dental by Dr. Robert Lambing, Sr. and then his son Dr. Robert Lambing Jr. In 2018, due to an injury that inhibited his ability to practice dentistry, Dr. Robert Lambing, Jr. had to make the difficult decision of ending his career. Since many of his patients were not only his patients, but also his father’s, given the 57-year history of the practice, he conducted an extensive search for dentists who would serve with the quality and philosophy that the community had come to desire and expect from the practice. Avoiding offers from large dental corporations, whom he believed would damage the legacy and the personal touch the practice maintained, Dr. Lambing finally found the dentists he was looking for. Believing in the same philosophy of care embedded in the historied community establishment, Drs. Cammellia Askari and Leyla Sahabi became the new owners of Lambing Dental in November of 2018.
