Mint Dental Works was founded in 2003 when Dr. McMillan took over the practice of a much beloved retiring dentist, Dr. Hinds. We loved the history and quirkiness of our original space and the patients were fantastic, but the office’s most high-tech piece of equipment was an electric typewriter! The building s diminutive 900 s.f. size could not support the practice s continued growth nor accommodate the technology we believed was imperative to providing patients with exceptional care. In 2007, we moved Mint Dental Works to our current location. We d like to think our new home, which is chock-full of salvaged and vintage materials, in some way pays homage to those purveyors of fine dentistry that paved the way for Mint to serve the community of Portland for nearly 100 years.
