About Michael A. Hochman, M.D. P.A.

Dr. Hochman has served Laredo as a board certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist since 1999. He grew up in Urbana, Illinois where he attended the University of Illinois. After graduating summa cum laude, he moved to Chicago where he attended the University of Illinois Medical School where he graduated with honors and served as class president. After his internship in Chicago, Dr. Hochman completed his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York where he served as chief resident. He completed a two-year fellowship program in clinical and surgical retina at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School in addition to a fellowship at the Retina Specialists of Boston and the Eye Research Institute of Retina Foundation. Dr. Hochman has also completed advanced training in diabetic and retinal disease at the Central Brasileiro de Cirurgia de Olhos Hospital in Brazil.
