Dr. Sanchez graduated in 1996 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts. He received advanced education in IV sedation from Dr. John A. Yagiela, past chair of the Division of Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences at UCLA, a worldwide authority on sedation. He has participated in curriculums at the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Education, and at the Spear Education as well. He is a member of the Spear Faculty Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. For years he was the Miami area Research Coordinator for Colgate Pharmaceutical. He has lectured at local hospitals about the role of dentists in treating sleep disorders. He has had articles published in the American Journal of Dentistry, Journal of the American Association of Dental Schools, and the Miami Herald. He is a past president of the Florida Hispanic Dental Association and a past member of the Board of Trustees at the National Hispanic Dental Association.
