About Maine Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center

Dr. Harriman grew up in a small fishing community in down-east Maine and comes from 3 generations of lobster fishermen. He spent summers on a lobster boat and became interested in medicine after volunteering at a hospital. He graduated from George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, Maine, and went on to study Biochemistry at the University of Maine, where he received a full scholarship. He became interested in dentistry after shadowing a dentist in college. After graduating Summa Cum Laude, he went on to attend Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he received awards in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics/Oral Biology, and Prosthodontics. While in dental school, Dr. Harriman won the prestigious AADR Student Research fellowship for his research in amelogenesis. He was also a member of the ASDA legislative committee and traveled all around the country to lobby for legislation to help improve access to care for the underserved.
