Dr. Scott grew up in North Logan, graduated from Sky View High School, then Utah State University with a degree in biology. He completed his dental training at the Washington University School of Dental Medicine. He married the former, Teresa Lindley, from Smithfield. They have one daughter and three sons, their older two children are married to dentists and their younger two sons - one is a dentist (Dr. Brad) and the other not planning to be a dentist nor married to one - he's a petroleum engineer. Dr. Scott and his wife have 18 beautiful grandchildren. Dr. Scott has been involved in the leadership of the Utah Dental Association for 11 years, serving as the UDA President in 2012-13. He served 4 years on the American Dental Association Council (ADA) on Dental Practice and is currently an ADA Delegate representing Utah. He was a member of the Bridgerland Tech Board of Directors for 13 years, then appointed to the Utah College of Applied Technology Board of Trustees from 2016-2020, and a
