About LBK Dental

LBK Dental provides family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, sedation dentistry, and emergency dentistry to the Lubbock, TX, area. Hi, I’m Dr. JW McPherson, a Christian, husband, dad, and dentist. I was born and raised on my family’s Ranch in Lockney, TX, just an hour north of Lubbock. Why did I become a dentist? It’s simple. I had a great experience at the orthodontist and gained a lot of confidence from a handsome smile, and I wanted to do that for other people. I received a bachelor’s in biology at West Texas A&M University, which is where I met my beautiful wife, Stephanie. I then went to Dental School at The University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio, where I graduated with a distinction in Dental Education. We later moved to Amarillo where I practiced dentistry for five years and took an advanced course for placing implants. I wanted to own my own practice, so we made the move to Lubbock to fulfill our dream!
