About Kindred Dentistry

Growing up in Texas, Dr. Emily Chen spent many after school afternoons at the local dental office where her mother worked as a Registered Dental Assistant. The compassionate care her mother provided to her patients for over 20 years inspired Dr. Chen to combine her love for art and working with her hands with helping others in the field of dentistry. Dr. Chen earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA in 2019, where she also received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Minor in Natural Sciences in 2014. Dr. Chen is an active member of several professional organizations, including the ADA, CDA, LADS, and the Chinese American Dental Society of Southern California. Dr. Chen has also made contributions to the field of dentistry through her publications in the International Journal of Dentistry and PeerJ.
