Gum ContouringAbout Kentucky Periodontics and Implant Dentistry
Periodontists are one of nine specialties supported by the American Dental Association. Each periodontist is required to complete 36 months of training. During this time, some institutions offer a degree in Master of Science in Dentistry, which requires additional research. Dr. Camenisch completed her master’s thesis on examining a potential marker (phospholipase A2-IIA) which could differentiate between patients with good oral health, gingivitis, or periodontitis. In 2018, Dr. Camenisch and her family purchased the suite that now houses Kentucky Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in Richmond, KY. Dr. Camenisch wanted to provide a modern facility with an environment that felt calming and friendly. We have three operatories, including a sedation suite. The building also houses a state-of-the art consultation room, a sterilization room with new equipment, and a staff lounge. Take a tour of our office or schedule an appointment today!
