Dr. Kohlhorst attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City, where he received his degree in dentistry. He continued his formal training for several years beyond dental school, completing residency training that specialized in the treatment of tissues around the teeth (such as bone and gum tissue). As a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology , the highest recognition awarded in periodontics, Dr. Kohlhorst is set apart from others in his specialty.
