A proud native of the area, Dr. Sydney Schmitz has deep roots in the community she serves. After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, she completed her dental training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, consistently ranked among the nation’s top programs. Dr. Schmitz is known for her gentle touch, clear communication, and dedication to patient comfort. She takes pride in helping each person feel confident about their dental care while building relationships that last. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Nicholas Funyak, their golden retriever, Lola, and their families. Whether cheering on the Gators or Wolverines, or enjoying a day on the water, she finds joy in the Florida lifestyle she shares with her patients. Dr. Nicholas Funyak provides comprehensive general dentistry with a special focus on cosmetic and surgical care.
