Dr. Matthew S. Dykema graduated medical school from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia Campus in 2009. He went on to complete his Internship at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA and his Family Medicine Residency Program at Danville Regional Medical Center in Virginia in 2012. He served as Chief Resident over both the Internal Medicine and Family Medicine programs, managing over 30 resident physicians. During his training he took several trips abroad with interest in international medicine, working in Honduras, Western Africa, and China. His passion is to help serve people of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Dr. Dykema received a broad based training in Family Medicine which included training in pediatrics, obstetrics and woman s health, general surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, dermatology, neurology, pulmonology, adult and geriatric medicine as well as emergency medicine.
