Jessica Barke r has been a NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) since 2000. Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of California – Santa Barbara. She completed her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Iowa Medical School. She initially worked in Neurology at Kaiser San Diego. She was instrumental in developing and implementing a group-model of care for patients with headaches. She had an active involvement in research, serving as a co-investigator on multiple projects. Much of her research focused on the use of BOTOX® in preventing headaches. Her practice with BOTOX® for headache prevention provoked an interest in its cosmetic uses. Upon relocating to Santa Barbara, she transitioned to working in Cosmetic Dermatology and Plastic Surgery. Jessica also received board certification in Anti-Aging Medicine in 2006. In Santa Barbara, she spent 14 years working with Dr. Douglas Mackenzie at Pacific Plastic Surgery.
