I earned my medical degree from the Uniformed Services University (USU) at Bethesda, MD, the only military medical school in the United States. I completed my internship and residency at Internal Medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. I have been an Associate Professor at USU since 2017. I became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2020. After completing my residency, I stayed at Walter Reed as a staff attending physician, where I worked in the Army Wounded Warrior Clinic. The US was still involved in the Afghanistan war at the time, so we were still receiving casualties and amputees from there. I helped them transition from the battlefield and find the best quality of life while dealing with their medical issues. Additionally, during that time, I worked as a Hospitalist at Inova Fairfax Hospital on weekends. After living in Bethesda, we moved to Camp Lejeune, where I was the Chief Hospitalist at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. I succes
