Integrated Medicine of Ohio is a chiropractic and functional medicine clinic that has served the Akron-Canton area since 1986 and has operated from its Arlington Road location in Akron since 1989. The practice is led by Keith S. Ungar, DC, a 1983 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic with more than 700 hours of postgraduate training in neurology, functional medicine and alternative therapies, and a Fellow of the American Association of Integrated Medicine. It specializes in drug-free, non-invasive management of chronic pain, peripheral neuropathy, mobility problems and metabolic dysfunction, using Sanexas electrotherapy, acupuncture, shockwave and laser therapy, ultrasound, spinal decompression, and chiropractic and physical rehabilitation. Its functional medicine program addresses thyroid disorders including Hashimoto's thyroiditis, digestive disorders such as IBS, ulcerative colitis and GERD, and other chronic illness. The clinic also runs a doctor-developed Metabolic Reset weight loss program with weekly coaching delivered in person or by video.
