He spent the early years of his life in Mobile, AL. Son of an orthodontist, Dr. Jimmy Donaghey, his interest and involvement in the dental profession began at an early age. During his college years, Dr. Donaghey spent his summers performing lab and clinical procedures at his father's office. He completed his undergraduate studies at Auburn University, earning a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and graduating with Cum Laude honors. Dr. Donaghey went on to complete his dental education at UAB School of Dentistry. His three children, Mila, Rhett, and Sam can occasionally be seen at the office when they bring him lunch and try to redecorate his office with crayons and sidewalk chalk.
