Your overall health and well-being drive Dr. Hoard’s passion for dentistry. His personal goal is to help every one of his patients enjoy disease-free oral health, with smiles that look beautiful and feel great. Patient care runs deep and started at home for Steve. His father, who is also a dentist in Steve’s hometown of Tarboro, NC, where Steve practiced for three years before relocating to New Bern, NC, in 1991 to open a private practice, influenced Steve s compassion for others. His professional training started at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and continued with the Dawson Academy, where he has been a faculty member since 2004. There, he was recognized in 2019 as a “Steve Miller Teaching Assistant of the Year” for his contributions to the advanced study of dentistry for other practicing dentists.
