Dr. Ursales was born in the Philippines and relocated to California at age twelve. She comes from a family dedicated to both medicine and music—her father and sisters are physicians, her mother holds a law degree and is a pianist, her brother specializes in upper limb prosthetics and her brother-in-law is an ortho-prosthetist. Dr. Ursales earned her Bachelor of Science in General Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 2007. She continued her academic training with a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Biomedical Sciences/Medicine from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2014. Committed to ongoing professional growth, Dr. Ursales participates in advanced dental education annually.
