Dr. Alessandro Retis was born in Lima, Peru, and moved with his family to Las Vegas, Nevada, when he was 11 years old. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), with a B.S. in Biology and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). During his time at UNLV, he received numerous awards for his research in oral cancer, achievements in oral surgery, and most importantly, for exemplifying compassionate humanitarian service through multiple dental missions to South America. From a young age, Dr. Retis dreamed of working in a profession where he could make a positive impact on people’s lives. After graduation, Dr. Retis was selected for and completed an intensive one-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at the LAC+USC Medical Center at the University of Southern California (USC).
