He is fully bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English with native fluency . He graduated from the prestigious Pontificia Universidad Católica De Chile, the top medical school in Chile which is consistently ranked among the top universities in Latin America. He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Illinois Chicago. He graduated fully certified on the Intuitive DaVinci Surgical Robotic platform. He went on to complete a fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center under the visionary leadership of Dr. Dmitry Oleynikov and Dr. Corrigan McBride, in advanced minimally invasive laparoendoscopic surgery, primary and revisional bariatric surgery, as well as complex hernia/abdominal wall reconstruction (AWR).
