He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, located in Chicago, Illinois, in 1996. He graduated with honors and was given the Bausch & Lomb student leadership award, and was presented with the prestigious Gold Key Award; only 10% of practicing Optometrists are allowed to be members of this group.
