Dr. Alan Oester, Jr., MD, FACS, is a fellowship-trained oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon practicing at Wilmington Eye's Oculoplastic Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. He has performed oculoplastic surgery exclusively since 2009, operating on more than 11,000 patients, and holds a fellowship from the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Oester specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, eyelids, ocular orbits, and lacrimal system, including cosmetic brow lifts, eyelid lifts, and lower eyelid surgery, alongside cancer reconstruction. He earned his MD at the Medical College of Georgia and completed his ophthalmology residency there, followed by an oculoplastics fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
