About Denton Family Dentistry

Dr. Joseph Choi was born in Daejeon, South Korea. He and his family moved to the United States at an early age. Dr. Choi grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from Bearden High School, where he played for his varsity tennis team all 4 years as a starting lineup and won a State Championship. With full 4 years of academic scholarship, he attended The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with honors in Magna Cum Laude. In addition to receiving the Tennessee Dental Academic Scholarship during his four years of dental school, Dr. Choi received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from UTHSC College of Dentistry. Because of his love for southern hospitality and diversity of that Dallas offers, he decided to move to the DFW area soon after graduating dental school, where he now calls home. Dr. Choi is currently a member of the Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Dallas Korea
