At Dentists of Whittier, we are lucky to have Dr. Hamid as our chief orthodontist. Dr. Hamid Barkhordar, DDS, MMSc is a renowned orthodontist who has made a huge difference in the lives of his patients. When Dr. Hamid was undergoing his education in dentistry, he decided to specialize in orthodontics. This meant he had to add two more years onto his already lengthy schooling. Why did he choose orthodontics? Well, for one thing, Dr. Hamid loves to work with kids and teens especially, helping them gain a beautiful smile. As an orthodontist, Dr. Hamid uses modern techniques and proven technologies such as braces and Invisalign ® clear aligners to straighten teeth. He is also well-versed in preparing children for good orthodontic outcomes with preventative measures such as space maintainers.
