About Dental Haven

Dr. Girmscheid and the rest of the Dental Haven team have a passion for caring for their community and finding ways to best serve others. Our mission is to provide gentle, high-quality care while cultivating a soothing patient experience. We want to shift the mindset of anxiety at the dentist to one of relaxation and peace. We specialize in treating patients with dental anxiety, so we are more than happy to provide sedation options, comforting amenities, and an overall enjoyable experience. Dr. Megan Girmscheid grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. At the age of 15, Dr. Girmscheid decided to pursue a career in dentistry after she got her braces removed. Her beautiful new smile gave her a brand new confidence, and she knew that she wanted to provide that same feeling for others. Dr. Girmscheid received her BS in Human Nutrition with a minor in vocal performance from the University of Kentucky, and later went on to receive her DMD from the University of Louisville.
