“I became a dentist for many reasons but two stand above the rest. My number one reason is to get people out of pain. It is always such a personal reward when I see the relief in patients’ eyes after I have administered anesthesia, numbed the pain, and treated the problem. My number two reason is to make a difference in people’s lives with their smile. It really is amazing how you can affect someone’s self-esteem and quality of life by giving them both a beautiful and functional smile.” As a Youngsville native and proud ULL alumnus, Dr. Sammons has deep roots in his community. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from ULL and graduated summa cum laude. He attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Sammons remains a devoted supporter of his Ragin’ Cajuns and is a regular at many of the university’s sporting and community events.
