In 2026, Dr. Simon Pun, DDS became the new owner of Coventry Family Dental, continuing a tradition of providing quality dental care to Rhode Islanders for more than 50 years. Our story began in the early 1970s, when Dr. Peter McLinn opened his dental practice in an old farmhouse at 295 South Main Street in Coventry. Dr. McLinn retired in 2004, and Dr. Dmitry Gelfand acquired the practice and renamed it Coventry Family Dental. In 2007, we moved to our current location at 903 Tiogue Avenue, where we have continued caring for generations of patients. Technology and science have made incredible advances in nearly every aspect of our lives—and dentistry is no exception.
