Carolina Eye Associates is an ophthalmology and optometry practice founded in 1977 by Robert Gale Martin, M.D. and George Tate Jr., M.D., headquartered in Southern Pines, North Carolina. It operates 14 regional centers across central and southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South Carolina, together with two accredited surgical centers in Pinehurst/Southern Pines and Greensboro. Alongside cataract, cornea, glaucoma, retina and refractive care, the practice runs an oculoplastic eyelid and facial surgery division led by Jeffrey J. White, M.D., and an aesthetic services line at its Greensboro office. Cosmetic offerings include blepharoplasty, brow lifts, Botox, dermal fillers, laser skin and hair treatments, and chemical peels. The practice describes itself as one of the largest ophthalmology practices in the southeastern United States.
