Before coming to the United States, Dr. Alessandra Coelho spent more than 20 years as a dentist in her home country of Brazil. She received her dental education from UFPA, holds dual degrees as both a dentist and an orthodontist/facial orthopedic specialist in Brazil, and operated her own clinic in Brazil for 18+ years. Originally, Dr. Coelho came to the United States to seek advanced training to help her run her own dental clinic more effectively. She moved to the U.S. and obtained an Executive Practice Management certificate program from the University of Florida during 2016-2017. Initially, Dr. Coelho lived in the U.S. part-time, flying back to Brazil every month to see patients and manage her practice. But after falling in love with the country, Dr. Coelho decided to attend the International Dental Graduate Program at Nova Southeastern University.
