About Black Hills Area Dental

Dr. Samuelson is originally from South Dakota, graduating from Philip High School in 1989. While staying true to his South Dakota roots and passion for dentistry, Dr. Samuelson attended the University of South Dakota gaining a Dental Hygiene bachelor degree in 1993. While working as a Dental Hygienist in Rapid City, SD, his desire throughout those 7 years to better serve his community while advancing his career led him to applying to the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. With high academic standing and numerous honorary awards, he fulfilled his dream of becoming a Doctor of Dental Surgery from UNMC in 2006. If you aren t finding Dr. Samuelson treating patients, he is an avid outdoor enthusiast whether it is sunny or snowy. Enjoying such things as hunting, boating, snowmobiling, skiing, attempting to snowboard, and riding his motorcycle around the beautiful black hills.
