About Avalon Family Dentistry - Federal Way

I grew up on my mom’s dental chair—napping, playing with denture teeth, and shaping wax. Dentistry found me in the most natural way possible. My mom was a dentist in our home country, Vietnam, and during my years of dental school there, I was lucky to work alongside her in the evenings as her assistant. Before I could graduate, my family immigrated to the U.S. I still remember walking across the stage to receive my diploma and silently promising myself that one day, I’d earn another degree—this time in the U.S., with my family there to celebrate. That dream came true in December 2018, when I graduated (again!) from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine . My mom continues to inspire how I practice today. From her, I learned to truly listen—to understand each patient’s unique story, lifestyle, and priorities. I believe dentistry should never be one-size-fits-all. Every smile deserves care that’s personal, thoughtful, and centered around what matters most to each individual
