Dr. Toland was born and raised just north of Boston, Massachusetts. She decided she wanted to be a dentist when she was in middle school after a great experience with her orthodontist. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Boston College, she fulfilled her dream of attending the esteemed Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After graduating dental school in 2012, she completed an Advanced Residency in General Dentistry at the Togus VA Maine Healthcare System in Augusta, Maine. She enjoyed her experience there so much that she stayed on for an additional year and worked as a staff dentist. Dr. Toland met her husband, Mike, in dental school and she moved with him to San Diego in 2014 when his naval orders brought him here. They both love the San Diego lifestyle and enjoy bike riding, kayaking, paddleboarding, trying new restaurants, and hanging out at the beach.
