About Artis Asha W DDS

I m originally from Savannah, Georgia. I attended Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina where I received my undergraduate degree in biology. I then went on to become a Research Technician II at Duke University Center for Human Genetics where I extracted DNA from donor samples for Autism and Alzheimer research studies. While working at Duke University, I discovered that I wanted to help people in a different way, so I decided to become a dentist. In 2011, I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from VCU School of Dentistry. Following dental school, I completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. After residency, I relocated back to the state of Virginia and have been practicing in the Hampton Roads area since 2012. I love what I do! I love creating confident, beautiful, healthy smiles!
