About Alameda Family Dental Practice

Dr. Eric Schmidt grew up in Boulder, Colorado and attended the University of Colorado, where he earned BA and MA degrees in biology/psychology in 1988 and 1991. He moved to San Francisco to work in biotech research for several years. He then attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he earned his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree. He has been at Alameda Family Dental Practice since 2004. He also worked as dental director of Sonrisas Community Clinic in Half Moon Bay, California, and taught dentistry at the University of the Pacific Dental School for several years. His special interests include research on jaw joint problems and providing care for children and adults who are afraid of dental work. Dr. Schmidt is a certified Invisalign provider. He served as president of the Alameda County Dental Society in 2014, and as a delegate to the California Dental Association for three years.
