Afdent offers over 40 years of providing patient-friendly dentistry to Northern Indiana. Afdent's story began in 1977 in South Bend, Indiana, with Dr. Roger Pecina and his vision for "Affiliated Family Dentists"—a group of dentists dedicated to patient-first care, regardless of dental or financial background. As the practice grew, the name was shortened to Afdent, and a second location opened in Fort Wayne, making Dr. Pecina one of the first dentists in the country to expand patient care beyond a single office. Our "Patient Friendly Dentistry" philosophy resonated with the community and helped our practice grow into the hub for comprehensive dentistry it is today. Today, our South Bend/Mishawaka location encompasses three buildings on a single campus, while the Fort Wayne office occupies three stories.
