Dr. Xie is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology and has extensive experience in cataract surgery. Dr. Xie graduated from UC Berkeley and received his joint MD PhD training at the University of Southern California. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Xie takes pride in evidence-based and compassionate eye care. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and conversational Spanish. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and traveling with his loving family. Dr. Shieh is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with expertise in sutureless cataract surgery and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery. He received his bachelor’s degree at Harvard College and his medical degree at Harvard Medical School.
