She completed an internal medicine residency at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center and a dermatology residency at Wayne State University , where she was the Chief Resident. She received additional training through a one-year fellowship in Mohs surgery at the Stough Clinic in Arkansas. Her areas of expertise include skin cancer surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Horton is a professional member of the American Academy of Dermatology , the American Society for Mohs Surgery , the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons , the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery , the American Society of Dermatopathology , and the American College of Physicians .
