On December 27, 1997 I was admitted to Chandler Hospital with diabetic ketoacidosis and pneumonia one year after being diagnosed with adult onset diabetes. Within hours, I went into septic shock and was placed on the ventilator. While on the vent, I developed blood clots that lead to dry gangrene. I awoke from the coma weeks later to a half dead forearm and hand. I went through a long healing process and 18 surgeries over the next several years leaving me with a multitude of scar tissue. It was during this time, that I discovered the healing benefits of LED light therapy. LED changed my life forever! It softened my scar tissue and helped to heal the extensive nerve damage. In addition, it was extremely beneficial over many years as I slowly detoxed myself from the massive amounts of pain medications and began living my life again.
