Raised in County Wicklow, Ireland, Anna Magee grew up surrounded by mountains, coastline, and paramedicine, serving the community as an assistant in her family’s pharmacy. She discovered the specialty of dermatology as a medical student in Charleston, South Carolina, inspired by memorable professors and the gratifying visual component of the field. Residencies, career, and life brought Anna to Dallas, then Charlottesville, where she took to the landscape, the recreation, and the arts, choosing this community to plant her roots, raise a son, and begin her private practice in 1994.
