With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Misty began her career as a phlebotomist and steadily advanced through multiple nursing roles, earning credentials as a CNA, LVN, ADN RN, BSN RN, MSN RN, and ultimately as an APRN FNP-C. Her clinical background spans med-surg, cath lab, cardiac and neuro units, and the emergency department. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Texas Christian University (TCU), graduating with honors in the top 10% of her class. Dr. Amanda Akin, D.O., is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and certified Botox and dermal filler injector.
